Working at the crossroads of nature fine art, myth, and manipulation. My work blends digital and film photography with handcrafted pulls from an inner world shaped by my traditions.
This creative process is deeply spiritual—ritualistic even. I don’t just photograph trees; I speak with them, get to know their presence, and allow their stories to unfold through my lens.
My art explores the liminal space where folklore, fairytales, and mythology converge with modern visual storytelling. Whether crafting moody monochromes or surreal technicolor dreamscapes, I aim to create imagery that feels both otherworldly and rooted—spooky yet psychedelic. I weave photography with creative writing to build immersive worlds that invite viewers to step outside time, into the mystery and magic that still exists in the wild and the unseen.
Orphic Agate is a name born from myth, music, and the natural world
The name “Orphic” comes from Orpheus, the legendary musician of Greek mythology whose music was so powerful it could move animals, trees, and even stones. His story is one of beauty, loss, and the transformative power of art—especially music. I’ve always been drawn to that idea: that sound and image can stir something deep within us.
The second half of the name, “Agate,” refers to the stone often associated with grounding, endurance, and stability. Orpheus Agate, in particular, is said to offer support through emotional transitions and creative journeys—something I resonate with deeply in my work. As an artist inspired by nature and music, I see agate as a symbol of the quiet strength found in the earth, the rhythm of seasons, and the perseverance needed to create meaningful art.
Together, Orphic Agate represents the harmony between emotion and structure, between inspiration and persistence. It’s a name that reflects the soul of my work—where nature meets music, and art becomes a bridge between the seen and the felt.

The figure in my logo—a white ink drawing of a woman, part human, part tree—represents transformation, connection, and the ancient wisdom of nature. She is both druid and dryad, rooted yet reaching, embodying the balance between the spiritual and the elemental.
Drawn in white against a black background, she evokes the feeling of something emerging from the void—like a photograph developing in the darkroom, or a melody rising from silence. It’s a visual metaphor for the creative process itself: raw, intimate, and deeply connected to something older than language.
Her nakedness isn’t about vulnerability, but authenticity—stripped of pretense, in communion with the natural world. As a tree, she becomes a living bridge between earth and sky, grounded and growing, just as my art seeks to bridge the sensory world with the emotional and the mythic.
This symbol is a visual companion to the name Orphic Agate—where myth meets nature, and where art becomes a sacred act of remembrance and becoming.
Creation lives in that fragile space between holding on and letting go. Between what we reach for, and what we remember. So I twirl, I turn, I look. Not because I doubt the future, but because I honor the past like a shadow, how we ache to glance over our shoulder.
Over time, the journey into Orphic Agate allowed me to sense the unseen layers of the natural world: the energy in stones, the voices in trees, the rhythms of the moon and the seasons. As I deepened my spiritual practice through paganism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and ancestral Slavic-Celtic traditions, photography became more than a creative outlet — it became a form of ritual. I don’t just take images; I enter into communion with the land, the spirits, and the stories waiting to be told. Each photo is a spell, a dialogue, a moment of reverence. This path has taught me to see beyond the surface — to honor shadow and light equally, and to capture the sacred in the seemingly ordinary. My art is an offering, a portal, and a reflection of the magic that shapes my world.

This alternate logo—sharp, chaotic, and delicate all at once—was inspired by metal band aesthetics, but carries a deeply personal symbolism.
At first glance, it appears jagged, almost unreadable, like ancient runes or tangled roots. But look closer, and you’ll see the shape of a butterfly formed in the negative space—a symbol of transformation, emergence, and the ephemeral beauty of change.
Above it, a crescent moon hangs like a crown or compass. The crescent moon holds personal significance for me—it marks the threshold between what was and what will be. It’s a phase of intention, of becoming. In my life and my art, it represents cycles of growth, quiet power, and the unseen rhythms that guide creative work.
The white-on-black rendering echoes my other logo—a consistent reminder that light is born from shadow, and that contrast is where meaning lives. This design is more than an emblem; it’s a sigil of metamorphosis, mystery, and the wild beauty that arises when darkness is embraced rather than feared.
Through my lens, I seek to reveal the unseen — the magic, the mystery, and the soul of the natural world. My art is where ritual meets vision, where folklore becomes form.
It is both a reflection of my path and an invitation for others to see with enchanted eyes.
